Nylon carpet: In the production process, antistatic carbon filament is added. Nylon carpets use this method to obtain permanent antistatic properties.

Polypropylene carpet: The material polypropylene itself has antistatic properties, so most office carpets are made of polypropylene. Polypropylene carpet has low price, good antistatic performance and high production efficiency.

Wool carpets: Under normal circumstances, wool carpets will not cause static electricity problems. This is when the relative humidity (RH) is above 40%, but below this relative humidity value, carpets that have not been electrostatically treated will generate static electricity. This means that the wool carpet itself has temporary antistatic properties. To obtain a permanent antistatic effect, the carpet manufacturer sprays antistatic agents on the raw materials during the production of wool carpets to initially prevent the generation of static electricity. In addition, mixing a small amount of conductive fiber into the wool carpet yarn can also play a good antistatic effect.

The antistatic performance of the carpet can be judged by the experiment of measuring the static electricity generated when people are walking, or by the antistatic performance during the static decay period. The main anti-static indicators: walking voltage: A grade product ≤ 500V; B grade product ≤ 2000V.
